Record Store Day 2026: Review index and playlist
This is our last Record Store Day post, we swear. Well, at least until Black Friday comes around in November.
We realized it could be helpful to have an index of all the reviews we’ve written in one place. So here’s an alphabetical list with links to all the reviews for the 58 pieces of Record Store Day vinyl we’ve listened to in the past couple of weeks. You can browse it as you’re waiting in line outside your favorite record store, making last-minute decisions about what to get. The index begins a little further down in this newsletter.
We also thought it would be nice to make a special Record Store Day playlist exclusively for our wonderful paid subscribers. You can take a listen while you’re waiting for the store doors to open, or on the drive home, or you can just play it around the house anytime you like. We tried to include a song from as many of our Record Store Day reviews as we could, although some of them are of course not on streaming. Nevertheless, you should have a few hours of great music ahead of you. And we put the 22-minute Yes song at the end so it wouldn’t completely ruin everything.
Lastly, we now have a comments section! This is also exclusively for our paid subscribers. We’d love to know what you picked up for Record Store Day. Tell us what’s sounding especially good and what turned out to be a disappointment. All our articles will now have commenting capabilities for paid subscribers, so we hope to hear a lot from you going forward.
Not a paid subscriber yet? There’s a button for that.
Happy Record Store Day!
